Going greener and joining Wikaniko is without a doubt part of my lifes journey, it feels 100% correct and has opened up other doors which also have felt like they were meant to be. It really does feel as though we are on a mapped out journey and a little bit more of that journey opens up as we move and push forward.
We continued collecting books and information on both personal development and also Spiritual books. It was during July last year that i woke up one morning and just knew i had to look into Reiki Spiritual Healing. It was such a strong overwhelming feeling that i knew i HAD to do it so spent time reading up on Reiki and other holistic therapies. The more i read the more i knew it was part of the journey we are on and that this was the next step for me. When i did my Reiki level 1 in August last year it was a very powerful feeling and i was actually physically sick immediately afterwards which i believe was part of the cleansing process. I have since done my level 2 .
Reiki is about starting off with self treatment and can be used as a powerful tool for healing the mind, body and spirit, its about creating wholeness, harmony and balance. It is about being a chanel for the natural energies that are around. I will probably do some further posts on Reiki at some point as i believe it is a powerful tool in life and one that anyone can greatly benefit from.
I am fascinated by alot of the therapies such as cognitive behaviour therapy, EFT (emotional freedom technique), relexology, aromotherapy, crystal therapy and so on and hope at some point to train in them. I have always had a strong feeling from a very early age that i was meant to help other people and although working at the Job Centre before having children gave me a sense of fulfilment when it became more about figures and not people i felt i wasn't on the right course.

Eco-friendly
I have done several work from home Businesses in the past while i was bringing up my children, starting off with Kleeneze which taught me a lot and which encouraged me to continually journey along the personal development route but i wasn't passionate about the products and in may cases was ashamed to take money from my customers for them so i started with a young family run Company called Everyday Essentials which sold Ecover products amongst other things. Unfortunately the Company ceased trading and after having put a lot of time and effort in starting to build a reasonable customer base locally and also recruiting a team across the UK i vowed never to get involved in this type of Business again. I remember saying to Gary at the time that if i could ever afford to i would start off my own Network Marketing Company (i do truly believe its a very fair way of helping others to earn an extra income/build a Business through providing support and training) but it would have to be eco-friendly products.
Several years passed, four to be exact and i kept myself busy bringing up my three children, doing lots of personal development reading and a few online courses and occasionally kept up to date on the work from home Businesses being offered but nothing ever jumped out at me. Then one day just under a year ago i was visiting my parents when a brochure was put through their door. I picked it up for them and saw it was a Company i had never heard of called WIKANIKO, so being a bit nosey i started flicking through the pages and saw it was all eco-friendly products. It was the price of the black bin bags that first caught my attention, about the same as i was paying at the supermarket for non biodegradable ones. Then it was the range of products that caught my attention, household products, gadgets, pets, cleaning, laundry, toiletries and cosmetics. WOW now it had got my full attention. I took the details of the distributor down and the website and thought i must look at this further.
A few weeks passed and i came across the details i had wrote down and went online to check the website, what a fantastic website, it felt warm, inviting and fitted in exactly with what we felt although at this point i was only using the odd eco-friendly product because of financial restraints and reading more about it i realised it was also a co-operative marketing venture which really did start to excite me.
I saw a way where i could buy my own eco-friendly products at wholesale price and even cover that cost by finding some customers and using my commission to cover my own purchases and then find some more customers and earn an extra income to help the family. This was what i had been waiting those four years for. I emailed the distributor and asked lots of questions and i joined in March last year and haven't looked back. I absolutely love the products in fact i am passionate about the Company, its ethics and the products and have met lots of lovely like-minded people in the process. The last year has been a real eye opener and i am now even more passionate about sharing the great products, everyone of which isn't adding to the problems the Planet is already facing, its more than just selling products to earn an extra income its about educating people and showing them a different way - a better and healthier way in my opinion.
I truly believe Wikaniko found me and that it is part of my plan and journey through this life and so the journey continues. New post coming soon about waking up about 6 months ago knowing what the next step was.

Music
We read all three Conversations with God books and started being drawn to other spiritual books, it was as if another door had opened in our lives and I really felt that i was at the start of a journey but I didn't have a clue where it would lead me but i felt an inner calm and peace with that which for me, who is usually someone who has to have everything laid out and a plan in place to be content, it was a new experience.
I started viewing my life and that of people around me in a different and more revealing and understanding light and felt more in control of my life than ever before. I had more patience, more inner strength, more inner happiness and more appreciation of the beauty around us.
I found a classical crossover group several years ago called Il Divo and there was something about the music and the voices which just made such a difference to me, i could walk down the road on a grey, miserable day with my headphones on and the world would brighten up, the colours looked brighter around me and i had a strange sensation deep inside me. I could be feeling stresses at home and in an instant of playing their music the world was a better place, the stress just disolved and everything was perfect.
It was after reading the three Conversations with God books that i knew that Il Divo reached my soul, a part of me i had forgotten about at some point. It was more than just liking the group and their music, i had never felt like this with any other music even when i was a teenager, it definately started awaking a part of me that had been asleep for a long time.

We have been busy over the last 20 years bringing up our 3 children, dealing with a few health issues and generally dealing with everyday life. We always felt that as busy as we were there was something missing in our lives and after talking about it on and off over the years we both felt perhaps that it was religion but were unable to find a religion or church that had all our beliefs. I know it sounds strange but we knew what our beliefs were before seeking a church or religion not the other way round as perhaps it normally is. Most religions fitted our basic beliefs but then we found out what they taught didn't fit in with our beliefs totally and we weren't prepared to compromise our beliefs or commit our time to something we didn't fully believe either.
My biggest issue was seeing my youngest in tears after an event at a local church because she thought her brother would "burn in hell" because he didn't believe in God. She couldn't believe that the loving God we had brought her up to believe in would turn his back on someone who hadn't the same belief as the Church taught or that her loving Pets don't have souls so they wouldn't go to heaven. It was at this point that I knew there was an answer out there but which we hadn't yet found so we went back to getting on with our lives and my youngest attended local church events held for the social side but carried on with her own belief as we had all the years previously.
At this stage we would regularly have a look at our local charity shops for personal development books and about 18 months ago Gary came across a book called Conversations with God part 2 written by Neale Donald Walsch and felt drawn to buy it which he did. We both found it fascinating and decided we needed to read book 1 and also no 3.
As i was reading Book 1 it was like i had come home, the things i was reading weren't anything new, i knew it all already but i had forgotten it and reading it was making me remember - a very strange sensation but a life changing one.
